19th Century Brass Hogscraper (push-up) candle holder in very nice condition. This antique candle holder is the perfect size for display on a ledge, shelf, window sill or with a grouping of other objects. It will look great with your Farmhouse, Country and rustic decors.
The candle holder stands 6 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" across the base. It measures 1 7/8" across the drip plate ring and it will hold a standard 7/8" taper candle or smaller. Really nice condition for the age well over 140 years old. No dings or dents. The color is MORE GOLD than it appears in picture and will go with your gold decors.
This is a nice size for a shelf, landing, ledge or window sill. We did not over clean only, only did a quick wipe down. There are still remnants of wax here and there If you wish this to be brighter it will polish up nicely. There is a makers mark inside the push up area we had to shine a light in there to see. Appears to be J.S.
