A beautiful antique glass scent bottle for the collector or your vanity. This one is double sided and these were very popular in England during the 19th Century.
The scent bottle is crafted of highly polished glass and measures 4 1/4" from end to end with the glass section measuring 2 3/4" long and 7/8" wide. It is difficult to see in the photos but the bottle has nine highly polished faceted panels. The end caps are made of brass with a gold wash. They open and securely snap shut. One side of the bottle, for a liquid perfume or scent has a tiny ground stopper. It is in perfect condition. The other side for smelling salts does not have a stopper.
There are no chips, cracks, flakes or other damage to the glass. We note one small ding to one of the brass caps. See last photo. It does not affect the opening or closure of the cap and we think it can probably be pushed out although we will leave that up to the new owner.
