1913 R.D. Piercy Point Cup Trophy Antique Loving Cup Trophy
A great looking rustic antique Point Cup trophy awarded to R.D. Piercy in 1913. This old loving cup trophy shows signs of age wear which gives it the best Lodge or Rustic appeal. It is crafted of a white metal and has a brass or coppery gold finish. The trophy stands 10" tall and measures 7 1/2" across the handles. It has a 5 1/2" opening on the cup. These old loving cup trophies make great decorative pieces.
There is wear to the finish from age but it still displays well. We did our best to try and find out anything we could about the trophy and it's owner but had no luck. Points trophies were used in many sports everything from Sailing and Yachting competitions to Running and Golf. The Piercy name originates from England and the name Pierce we note many with this name (Piercy) on ancestry sites seem to live in the Mid West and Central South United States.
