1902 Northwood Glass Blue Opalescent Wild Flower Creamer Turquoise Decor
Antique c1902 Northwood Glass Blue Opalescent Creamer in the Wild Flower pattern. This over-sized creamer has an incredible turquoise blue color which is different from the usual opalescent blues from this era. The pattern is lovely and intricate with wild flowers featuring lilies. There is bead work not only on the handle, but also on the top edge and forming cameos around the floral scene. It holds approximately 12 oz of cream.
The condition is Very Good+ there are no chips, cracks or flakes. The only thing we see, is that this original pattern was trimmed in metallic gold but since this piece was produced right around 1902, the gold is worn off except one small spot on one side that you can see if you look hard. (Last photo toward center on one of the leaves). Otherwise this is a remarkable and lovely example of early American pressed glass (EAPG). If you are a fan of Lilies they are front and center in this "Wild Bouquet". Again the color is spectacular and this will make a gorgeous display when not in use.
