The best things come in little packages and this antique Jugendstil German Majolica small urn is just one of that. Standing 6" tall it has the most beautiful cobalt blue glaze with embossed floral decoration in lilac purple and birds, scrolls and ribbing in a warm golden color.
This piece is considered Jugendstil era which is considered to be our Art Nouveau era dating sometime between late 1800s and early 1900s. It is over 100 years old and in Very Good Condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. As mentioned above the vase stands 6" tall and measures 3" across it's widest point at the handles. The bottom is incised with the number 7294. There is an old hand written price of $48 on the base (this was from long before we purchased it). This can be removed with cleanser and a green scrubby but we leave all things as found. We give it a 9 out of 10 for condition.
