This vintage sterling silver Navajo artisan necklace is beautifully crafted. The pendant is large and the Mother of Pearl looks like satin. This piece is signed by Scott Dave (Navajo c1960)
Both pendant and chain are hand crafted. This necklace will be a great piece for your year-round Boho fashions. We loved the applied leaves and berries as well as the detail of the hand made silver bamboo chain.
Unfortunately the mother of pearl does not translate well in the photos because of its natural sheen and iridescence with our flash. The second photo we left the flash off - the picture is overall darker but you can see the MOP shell color the best here. It is not pure white nor cream. I would say winter white with some cream veining.
In addition to a great pendant we absolutely loved the chain. Scott Dave is a master silversmith. The links on this necklaces are each hand hammered to look like bamboo. The are tiny links but the effect on the necklace is stunning. The necklace measures 15" in length - so this is a shorter chain. You can see it on our model to get an idea of where it will fall. It has a twist barrel clasp.
The necklace is signed SD on the back with the artists stamp. We have carefully tested the pendant and the chain and both are guaranteed to be at least 925 sterling silver. This piece c1960s is in Excellent estate condition and will come in a presentation box for you or to gift.
We did a hand polishing and you can see the silver is bright with just the right amount of patina in the crevices. This necklace is in Excellent vintage condition.
This is beautiful gift for the Holidays and we can ship to your relatives and friends gift wrapped using the "ship to" option.
