A stunning 1940s Masonic Ring in 10k Gold. This lab created vintage Ruby Mason's ring is a size 11.25 and can be resized by your jeweler.
The ring is marked B & F inside the band for Baden & Foss and we can safely date this ring to the 1940s. It is also marked 10k for gold content and has been safely tested to be so. The ring has been hand polished, steamed and prongs checked for safety.
The setting of the ring is a nice size for every day wear measuring 5/8" north to south and 1/2" east to west. The created Ruby stone is bright and clean measuring 12mm X 9mm. There is a 10k gold Masonic Symbol drilled and set into the stone (not glued - it is secure). The symbol which is the compass and letter G are in gold. The created ruby is securely set with 4 large decorative prongs.
The band of the ring measures 8mm at it's widest point at the sides and graduates down to 4mm at the back. The gold is bright, buttery and clean. There are minimal signs of wear for it's age. There are two vertical lines seen on the inside back of the band (can not be seen from outside of band) where ring was sized (made larger) at one point in time. From the back of the band you can not tell it was done - they did a very nice job. The ring has a nice weight weighing 6.7 grams including the stones.
