Propose to your one and only with a diamond ring worthy of her unique style. This Art Deco wedding set will make for a memorable moment.
Both of these rings were designed by Benjamin & Edward Gross Co, NY, NY as part of their Ring O' Romance line. You can find many of their incredible design patents on-line and we actually found the design patent for the wedding band (USD82935S) dating it to 1930. We suspect since this was a set the diamond was made at the same time. Both rings are finely crafted in 19k white gold and hallmarked as such.
The diamond ring has an elegant stepped up design. The center stone measures 4mm X 4mm X 3mm for .30 carat and have stunning VS2 clarity stone I-J in color. The diamond is exceptionally radiant which is difficult to capture in the photos. Each side is surrounded by 5 additional diamonds (10 stones total) 2mm each for an additional .30 carat weight. These stones are equally bright in color with SI1-SI2 in clarity. There is an ornate open work gallery and millegrain detail on the setting. The ring has a north to south height of 1/4" at its tallest point and the stepped up design spreads 1/2" east to west across the front. This engagement ring is a size 7 1/4".
The wedding band is the perfect accompaniment to the engagement ring. It is not overpowering but flattering with 10 sparkling channel set diamonds 1.5mm each for a .10 total carat weight. These diamonds are SI1-S12 in clarity and J-K in color. For a dainty style band there is an incredible amount of sparkle. This band is a size 6 3/4. Please note that that in a few of our band photos the top of the band looks yellow gold in color which is simply form lighting. The band is entirely white gold.
This is a great opportunity to own an Art Deco period diamond ring set by one of the innovators of the diamond jewelry design trade. Simply gorgeous!
