This is probably the nicest example of a vintage Singer Featherweight 221 that we have had the opportunity to offer.  It is in beautiful condition all the way around with minimal wear seen (only mildly at base) and it is working.  We will provide you with a video link below to see it in action.

This sewing machine comes with its case which nicely holds everything. The case measures 14" L X 10 3/4" H X 8" D. There are keys inside to lock the case if you choose to do so. The serial number is on the base (see photo 8) AL403814 which was a May 1953 date with a 50,000 run from Elizabethport, NJ plant.

We have had several of these throughout the years and this one has the most attachments in the box we have seen. I have no clue what everyone does but there is a photo provided at the end which shows every item included. There is also a nice oil can (empty) with great graphics that has a special spot it clips into inside the case.

The foot pedal is all good, cords are all good but always say with anything this old PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE experienced in electric CHECK the cords for safety. We plugged it in and the light on the machine worked perfectly and using the foot pedal we were able to start and stop the machine with ease.
