Antique English Delft Shaving Bowl Tin Glaze Blue and White Stoneware 18th Century. An exciting find for the lover of blue and white pottery and serious collector of early Delft.
The shaving bowl measures 10 1/2" across the rim and has a cut out for the neck area. It stands 3 3/4" tall. It is signed J.P. on the back but we were unable to attribute to any specific maker. There are rim chips as shown in the photos. No cracks to the bowl or other damage than at the rim. There are two holes at the sides which were used for hanging these types of bowls.
This is a wonderful piece for your blue and white decor and of special interest for the collector's of early delftware. We have several pieces of stoneware, earthenware and other items from this estate coming throughout the month.
