Antique Earthenware Bowl Tin Glazed with Sharp Teeth Fish c1800 from Teruel Spain. This large stoneware bowl is perfect for use or display. We love the primitive fish as the center.
The bowl or basin is large measuring 13" across the top and standing 5 1/8" tall. It has a copper green and dark brown possibly black decoration on a white base. There is crazing to glaze a few popped pottery bubbles. Two rim chips shown measuring 1" and 1/4". There are no other chips, cracks, flakes or repairs on this fine example. It is in its original condition.
We have several other tin glaze pieces of earthenware in our shop and more coming throughout the month. You will want to check back often to see them as they arrive. You can see the rest of our earthenware/stoneware pottery here.
