A superb Vintage collectible from Howe Caverns in Schoharie Country NY. This sterling silver ring is a size 10 1/2 and unisex in style.
The front of the ring has a Native American Indian Chief with black enameling. It reads "Howe Caverns, NY" along the left side of the circular frame.
The ring has wonderful stepped up Art Deco style with the front measuring 5/8" from North to South and 5/8" from East to West. The band measures 7mm at the sides and graduates down to 4.5mm at the back. Light surface scratches appropriate for wear and age but the sterling silver is extremely bright and clean. It is crafted extremely well for a souvenir piece and has an 8.9 gram silver weight. It is marked "STERLING" on the back and has been safely test to be so.
Howe Caverns is a popular tourist destination in Schoharie County NY. It's caves were discovered in 1898 and they have been open to the public on and off for well over 100 years. A really nice local collectible or piece for the spelunker!
