An Antique Rare Book find the tool collector, carpenter, blacksmith or hobbyist. The full title reads, 1905 The Handyman's Book of Tools, Materials, and Processes Employed in Working Metal - Edited by Paul N. Hasluck with over 2200 Illustrations and working drawings. Published by Cassell and Company, Limited (London, Paris, NY and Melbourne).
I was so excited to find this book I had to spend a week with it to take it all in. As a guy that loves hand tools, really all tools, I found this book to be the absolute best reference I have seen for building and instruction. It has over 2200 illustrations. I tried to show as many as I could but really a drop in the bucket. In order for me to give you an idea of just how much is in here. I went and typed the full Table of Contents below.
The book itself was rebound in handsome navy blue bark cloth for this gentleman's personal library. There are no missing or loose pages. The front hinge is cracked but it does not affect the contents. There is even tanning throughout. No rips, tears or intentional stains. No odors. There is an odd wrinkle page 759 which is the index and the last page. It is the only damage I see worth reporting. The cover shows mild bumping and fading. For 117 years old it's really a nice copy.
There are 760 pages total including the index. The book measures 9 1/4" X 6 7/8" .
I will type the Contents below for you to see the detail of the information.
