A gorgeous piece of estate jewelry for the cameo lover. This vintage 14k gold cameo can be worn as a pendant or a brooch. This gives it a lot of flexibility. The cameo setting measures 1" X 1/2" or 27mm X 21mm . The shell carving is detailed of a woman which looks Roman Gothic in style. The setting is highly polished 14k yellow gold with a fine rope edge detail. There is a bale for hanging on a chain and a fold over safety catch for easy pinning. Condition is Very Good++. No visible flaws seen.
It has the appropriate marks for 14k gold and has been safely tested to be so. Also marked with makers marks for Napolli Italy c1981. We can pin down the year and city but did not have luck with the specific maker though with some digging I'm sure someone can find it.
