An ornate authentic Victorian brooch crafted in 10k rose and yellow gold. This lovely piece is ornately engraved on both layers and is stunning from every angle. It would make a special Wedding Brooch for the bride but we can also see this as a great lapel or collar brooch.
The brooch measures 1.25 inches long by 3/4" wide with an 1/8" depth. It is crafted ENTIRELY in 10k gold including the pin and the hardware. The only thing that we can see that may not be gold is the soldering that holds the hardware on. The gold has a highly polished finish. Light surface scratches can be seen under magnification, minimal for the age (c1880s). The pin extends slightly past the brooch and it has an early c catch closure and hinge. 5.9 grams. This is a lovely authentic piece.
