This 1890s brooch is crafted of 12k Rose Gold and has 36 rose cut garnets surrounding 3 pear shaped cabochon garnets. The garnets are a deep shade of red. This brooch is in Good Condition for its age with no dings or dents to the rose gold and the setting is tight around the stones. One of the rose cut stones is chipped. It is difficult to see unless you are viewing under magnification. Otherwise this is a beautiful piece that could cover "something old" for the bride to wear on her wedding dress. It will also be a superb keepsake to wear after the wedding.
This brooch measure 1 1/2" L X 1" wide. It has antique hardware, a "c" catch closure and t-bar hinge. The rose gold is bright and clean. The gold has been safely tested to be 12k gold.
There is approximately 9.15 carats of natural garnet.
