An incredible find in Antique Victorian Mourning Jewelry. This set in 14k gold consists of wire earrings for pieced ears and a brooch which also has the hook on back to be a pocket watch pin.
The brooch measures 2.25 inches long and 1 1/8" wide. The pin is slightly beyond the body of the brooch. Note early hinge. The brooch has 3 dangles in onyx with seed pearls. The matching earrings measure 1 3/8" long by 5/8" wide. They have 1" long wires and there is a hook closure for the wires. See photo on back. The wires are also gold.
Both the earrings and brooch have been safely tested and are guaranteed to be at least 14k gold.
The condition of the set is Excellent. The details in the craftsmanship are incredible. Each piece of onyx is set in a tiny beaded edge setting. The finish work on the gold is superb. Simply incredible find for the collector but my wife said she would be wearing this set - I am not surprised.
This is a gorgeous and rare find in Victorian mourning jewelry.
